Letting Go

To let go does not mean to stop caring,
It means I can’t do it for someone else.
To let go is not to cut myself off,
It’s the realization I can’t control another.
To let go is not to enable,
But to allow learning from natural consequences.
To let go is to admit powerlessness, which means
The outcome is not in my hands.
To let go is not to try to change or blame another,
It’s to make the most of myself.
To let go is not to care for,
But to care about.
To let go is not to fix,
But to be supportive.
To let go is not to judge,
But to allow another to be a human being.
To let go is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes,
But to allow others to affect their destinies.
To let go is not to be protective,
It’s to permit another to face reality.
To let go is not to deny,
But to accept.
To let go is not to nag, scold or argue,
But instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.
To let go is not to adjust everything to my desires,
But to take each day as it comes and cherish myself in it.
To let go is not to criticize or regulate anybody,
But to try to become what I dream I can be.
To let go is not to regret the past,
But to grow and live for the future.
To let go is to fear less and love more…
Remember: The time to love is short.

Quote For The Day

“Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drown your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” – Steve Jobs

Watch Your Back I Might Just Put A Knife In It – Just Another Day At The Office

I told myself I would never write this post but oh well I changed my mind. We have all encountered Backstabbers at work. They are gossips, mean spirited and hurtful! These people have little conscience or ability to develop one. Their only goals seem to be power and personal gain (sad but true). I have dealt with a couple loony people in my life but it seems like I meet the craziest and most devious people in my working environments. In the past 5 years that I have been working I have come across all kinds of crazy but the backstabbing is what has fascinated me most. How far will you go to impress and get what you want I wondered, but now I have seen and learned first hand that most people will stop at nothing to have it their way. Taking credit for other people’s work and finding reasons to place blame whenever anything goes wrong are two things backstabbing people are the masters of. They like to manipulate situations and cause a lot of in office tension. They are most likely to tell you that someone else in the office doesn’t like you or has it in for you for Read the full post »
